London Campus

The London Campus of York St John University is an ambitious and growing academic unit with a strong research profile, excellent teaching, and an inclusive ethos that supports an exceptional student experience. We offer various postgraduate programmes, including MBAs in Business Administration and Healthcare Management, MScs in International Project Management, Digital Marketing, Public Health, Global Healthcare Management, and Computer and Data Science. Additionally, we provide a Master by Research (MRES) and top-up degrees in business and computer science. Our campus enhances employability through London connections and the bespoke ‘Venture Creation Lab,’ which supports students in designing and executing their business ideas through partnerships with businesses.

The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic Lecturers to contribute to our vibrant postgraduate offers in MSc programmes of Global Healthcare Management, Public Health, Master by Research programme (MRES), and Top Up degrees.

The academic knowledge required for this particular role is exclusive to the areas of Healthcare and Business Management. The successful candidates will be involved in teaching and research/scholarly activities. The involvement in teaching entails a variety of settings, including small group tutorials/seminars lectures, and assessment; and the provision of pastoral and academic support to students. The involvement in research/scholarly activities entails our support in developing a solid research profile for the successful candidates with a clear research plan and trajectory relevant to the areas of Healthcare and Business Management. 

The successful candidates will be joining a growing team of academics with excellence in teaching postgraduate programmes as well as burgeoning engagement and aspirations in producing impactful research and scholarly outputs.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates will have expertise in teaching in areas of Global Healthcare Management and related disciplines at a postgraduate level. The successful candidates will be supported in cultivating an impactful research profile in relevant areas.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree with professional experience in Global Healthcare Management related subjects. 

Experience in UK Higher Education and evidence of work experience in Global Healthcare Management will be desirable.

Candidates must hold a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or willingness to undertake).

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a clear research plan, trajectory or aspiration toward their areas of research interest and the potential contribution.
