The Team 

This role is part of the YSJ Global Team at our York campus. YSJ Global is multi-disciplinary directorate that consists of operational teams including International Student Recruitment and Conversion, Overseas Partnerships, Student Support, Marketing and Communications, Admissions, Visa and Compliance and the International Programmes Team. Our core function is to progress the international social mobility of students at York St John University. 

The Role

YSJ Global is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our expanding Global Recruitment team as a Global CAS Manager. This pivotal role involves managing the efficient and accurate issuance of Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for our international students, ensuring a smooth and seamless visa application process. The Global CAS Manager will collaborate with various university departments, including Global Recruitment, Admissions, the Academic Registrar, Finance, and Data Quality teams, to maintain data accuracy and deliver an exceptional student experience.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the end-to-end CAS process across all courses and intakes, ensuring compliance with UKVI regulations, and acting as a Level 1 User of the Home Office Sponsor Management System (SMS). The role also involves maintaining accurate records, providing regular CAS-related reports, and delivering training on CAS and UKVI compliance to internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills and experience

The ideal candidate for the Global CAS Manager role will have significant experience in international admissions or UKVI Visa Compliance, with a strong understanding of the International Higher Education sector. 

The candidate must be detail-oriented and capable of managing complex processes with a high degree of accuracy, particularly in data management. A proven ability to identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy is essential. 

The role also requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various university departments and stakeholders across multiple campuses. Experience in delivering training particularly related to UKVI compliance and CAS processes, is important. 

Additionally, the candidate should possess a high level of cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the diverse needs of international students.
