The School

York Business School was officially launched in 2018 following over 25 years of the delivery of Business and Management education at York St John University. York Business School is an ambitious and innovative business school where students are at the centre of everything we do. We have over 3,000 students (>1800 undergraduate and >1200 postgraduate) across our suite of programmes running in York. Our burgeoning national and international research profile, excellent teaching and learning and inclusive ethos supports an exceptional student experience.

The role 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Lecturer to contribute to our vibrant undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio in Business Management/International Business. Most of your work will involve teaching in a variety of settings including large lectures, smaller group tutorials/seminars; assessment; and the provision of pastoral and academic support to students. We are passionate about our students and they are at the forefront of everything we do. We work to ensure that our courses are delivered in partnership with industry, embedding work-readiness, practical skills and digital literacy so an interest in these areas is vital. The successful candidate will also be supported in developing a solid research profile in management or a related field. We have two roles available, one permanent and one fixed term for 12 months.

Key requirements

Candidates will have expertise in teaching Business Management/International Business at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. The successful candidate will be supported in cultivating an outstanding research profile in Business Management/International Business or a related field.
