You will contribute to delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supporting students in both the academic and applied dimensions of legal study, and helping to enhance the overall student experience through engaging and inclusive teaching.</p><p><strong>Required Skills and Experience</strong></p><p>The successful candidate must be able to contribute to one or more of the core LLB modules and postgraduate provision and should have expertise in two or more of the following areas: mental health law, conveyancing, medical law, property law, or asylum and immigration. Candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to deliver engaging, inclusive, and research-informed teaching. Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or equivalent) is required, along with a strong commitment to supporting student learning, employability, and professional development. Experience in curriculum development and mentoring colleagues is desirable. Our core function is to progress the international social mobility of students at York St John University.</p><p><strong><u>The Role</u></strong></p><p>The Global Office leads the University&rsquo;s international student recruitment, global engagement and TNE activities. We are delighted to be recruiting a motivated and ambitious individual to join our International Development Team. This role holder will contribute to the development of new partnership initiatives while supporting the effective management and oversight of an existing portfolio of TNE partners across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.</p><p>You will be responsible for developing TNE opportunity channels, with a particular focus on agent account management, partner relationships, market development, and supporting student recruitment from enquiry through to enrolment. The role requires strong knowledge and experience of international student recruitment within the higher education sector, alongside the ability to build effective relationships with external stakeholders.</p><p>The post holder will play a key role in delivering the University&rsquo;s 2026&ndash;2030 TNE strategy, with responsibilities spanning partnership coordination, data management, and process tracking. The post holder will play a key role in teaching, curriculum development, and academic administration.</p><p>The successful candidate will be expected to design and deliver high-quality teaching materials, lead and support modules, supervised student projects and support students in achieving academic success. The role also involves contributing to curriculum development to ensure programmes remain aligned with current industry standards, emerging technologies and professional body requirements.</p><p>The post holder will actively participate in research, scholarly activity and knowledge exchange within the field of cyber security. They will be encouraged to develop research outputs, established collaborations with industry and academic partners, and contribute to research funding applications where appropriate.</p><p>The role requires a strong commitment to inclusive teaching, student support and continuous professional development. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to deliver teaching across a range of cyber security topics, which may include digital forensics, ethical hacking and incident response and emerging cyber threats.</p><p><strong><u>Required skills and experience</u></strong></p><p>The successful candidate should have a PhD in Cyber Security, Computer Science or a closely related discipline. Candidates should demonstrate experience in teaching and supporting students in higher education, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to learners with diverse backgrounds and abilities. &nbsp;Candidates should have strong knowledge and practical experience in cyber security principles and technologies, with expertise in one or more specialist areas such as digital forensics, information security and network security. Experience with industry-standard tools, platforms and frameworks is highly desirable.</p><p>For Senior Lecturer appointments, evidence of research leadership, successful publication record, curriculum leadership, module coordination or experience supervising research students would be expected. Industry experience and established link with professional or industry partners would be desirable.
