            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Part time; permanent</strong></p><p><strong>Location: York</strong></p><p><strong>Salary: &pound;25,878 per annum (&pound;10,491 pro rata)</strong></p><p><strong>Introduction to YSJ University</strong></p><p>Situated in the heart of the historic city of York, and with roots dating back to 1841, York St John University has a long a proud tradition as a distinguished higher education provider. &nbsp; Our success is founded on the quality of academic teaching and research, our thriving campus environment, our professional and pastoral support, and our values of an inclusive, innovative and ambitious community with a strong sense of belonging.</p><p><strong>The Team</strong></p><p>The Campus Services team consists of 50 full and part-time staff who provide a cleaning service across the entire estate including both the main campus, sports facilities, and student accommodation.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>The roles available are 15 hours per week, working from 7am-10am, 5 days out of 7. Our success is founded on the quality of academic teaching and research, our thriving campus environment, our professional and pastoral support, and our values of an inclusive, innovative and ambitious community with a strong sense of belonging.</p><p><strong>The Team </strong></p><p>Our Campus Service Assistants are committed to delivering outstanding cleaning, and support the portering team with a strong focus on customer care.</p><p><strong>The role</strong></p><p>The University is looking for staff to join our busy Campus and Residential Services team to provide additional support to both the Campus Services and Porters teams. The post holder will contribute towards delivering an excellent, efficient, and customer orientated service. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The post is for 20 hours per week on a 5 over 7 contract. &nbsp;Hours will generally be worked Monday to Friday between 7am and 1pm (Start time to be agreed) but occasional weekend work may be required.</p><p>Due to the nature of the role, we require Campus Services Assistants to work flexibly across both teams as required.</p><p>Tasks&nbsp;may include vacuuming, floor mopping, carpet cleaning, and rubbish removal on all University sites.&nbsp;In addition, the post holder will assist the Portering team with room set ups, furniture moving, parcel delivery and waste collection as needed.</p><p>Experience is not essential as full training will be given</p><p><strong>Key requirements</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Knowledge of basic cleaning tasks</li><li>Knowledge of basic health and safety requirements</li><li>Able to work as part of a team.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional information</strong></p><p>Your application will be assessed after submission , and notification will be provided to those that have been shortlisted for interview.</p><p>Contact for informal candidate queries (David Cowell) &ndash; <a href="mailto:d.cowell@yorksj.ac.uk" style="box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(0, 102, 153); text-decoration: underline;">d.cowell@yorksj.ac.uk</a></p><p>It is anticipated that the selection process will include an interview.
