            <p><strong>2 x Full time, permanent &nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Location: York</strong></p><p><strong>Salary: &pound;31,236 - &pound;33,951 per annum</strong></p><p><strong><u>Introduction to YSJ university&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>Situated in the heart of the historic city of York, and with the recent addition of our new London Campus, York St John University has a long and proud tradition as a distinguished higher education provider. &nbsp;</p><p>Our success is founded on the quality of academic teaching and research, our thriving campus environments, our professional and pastoral support, and our values of an inclusive, innovative and ambitious community with a strong sense of belonging.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>The Team&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>Our success is founded on the quality of academic teaching and research, our thriving campus environments, our professional and pastoral support, and our values of an inclusive, innovative and ambitious community with a strong sense of belonging.&nbsp;</p><p>The Research Office offers central professional support to all academic staff and postgraduate researchers in the university.  You will be working in a small friendly team of research officers and academic staff. &nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>The Role&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>The post holder will support the University&rsquo;s submission to the <a href="https://2029.ref.ac.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2029</a> which is the assessment of the quality of research in the UK. The role will focus on the administrative preparations for REF and to advise on REF guidance. &nbsp;</p><p>The Research Officer will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of REF, working closely with researchers to compile the submission, assist with, data collection of all sections of REF and drafting the environment statements as well as to be an authoritative source of support on the guidance for REF.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Required skills and experience</u></strong></p><p>In addition to the required skills and experience on the job description, the successful candidate will have a passion for research and in particular supporting our staff with excellent customer service.
