The Team and The Role

Our Events Team have a key role and work across the University. The team are responsible for the delivery of key events within the University calendar, with significant reputation value such as graduation ceremonies, internal conferences, events with our partners and other key events such as our annual Arts festival. 

In addition to these activities, the University is seeking to increase our commercial income through events and hiring of campus facilities. The team is currently comprised of six members. This is an exciting time to be joining our team due to the progress that has been made in this area and the scope for future activity and ambition.

Required Skills and Experience

We are looking for an individual who has experience of running high quality events from start to finish. The ideal candidate would have excellent skills around planning and attention to detail. The post holder would be an excellent communicator who is skilled at forming and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate would have a creative flair for entrepreneurship and would make a significant contribution to setting and delivering the strategy for the Events team for the future.

Further Information

Successfully shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview panel where questions will relate specifically to the job role and experience in events. Applicants will be asked to give a short presentation.

This role will require evening and weekend work to support the annual programme of events and occasional travel within the UK.

Unfortunately, this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship however we welcome your application if you are able to evidence right to work in the UK via an alternative route.
