The team

Accommodation Services is based at our York campus and manages our University owned student accommodation located at various sites across York.  This accommodation complements that supplied by partner providers and private landlords.  The University regards accommodation as a key part of its offer to students and guarantees accommodation to all first year Undergraduates.

The role and key requirements

We are looking to appoint a Student Accommodation Manager to provide an accommodation service to both prospective and current students in York where the student experience is of paramount importance

The successful candidate will interact with a wide range of students, their families and staff from all areas of the University. Therefore it is essential that they have excellent interpersonal skills. They should also have the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently and have a willingness to support colleagues in the team.

Experience of working in a similar role is essential, along with experience of line managing a team to provide excellent customer service. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate an clear understanding of the needs and expectations of the wide variety of students who enter Higher Education.
