Salary is £19,612 to £21,236 per annum (£11,767 to £12,741 pro rata)

The team

Our School Administration Unit (SAU) provides a professional administrative service to students and academic staff across our Academic Schools. Our ethos is to hold the student experience at the heart of everything we do and we strive to provide quality of service at all times. 

The role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Administrator.

On a day to day basis you will act as a face-to-face and remote point of contact for staff and students, working remotely and on campus, delivering a variety of administrative activities associated with academic programme delivery. These activities include minute taking, room booking, recording student marks, booking travel and conducting online meetings. At present, you will be expected to divide your time working both remotely and on-campus, if possible. These arrangements can be discussed during your interview.

You will also take a proactive approach to handling student enquiries, signposting students to School staff or other departments where necessary. Our Administrators are allocated specific areas of the University to work with which provides a great opportunity to build effective relationships with colleagues.

Required skills and experience

You will have experience of working within an office environment and an excellent standard of computer literacy with standard software (word, excel, etc.) Experience working with cloud-based, collaborative software, such as 'Microsoft Teams' is desirable. 

A professional approach and willingness to work as effectively and efficiently as possible to provide a high quality service are essential. You will be a team player and have the ability to communicate at all levels.
