The Role

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Physiology. The successful candidate will join a well-established team based in the School of Science, Technology, and Health at York St John University’s 57-acre bespoke sports park. We currently offer a range of sport courses at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level, including BASES endorsed courses.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will join our Physical Activity and Cardiovascular Health (PAtCH) research group in the School of Science, Technology and Health. The research group has a focus on cardiovascular health through the use of ultrasound imaging, sedentary behaviour, ageing and exercise prescription. Demonstrable expertise in one or more of these areas is essential, as is an emerging record of research publication.  The successful candidate will work with the research group to contribute to its standing both nationally and internationally. In regards to teaching experience and responsibilities, you will deliver sport and exercise physiology within the school at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will also have the opportunity to supervise postgraduate research students. Teaching experience is considered essential.
